Reverse Wires Guide

NatPay offers Wire Transfer Draw-Down Services (Reverse Wires) to our Professional Payroll Processors (PPPs).

A Reverse Wire authorizes NatPay to withdraw funds from a PPP client's account via a wire transfer based on the client's pre-approval.

A Reverse Wire wire is initiated by the recipient of the funds (NatPay), rather than by the PPP client.


In order to use NatPay's Reverse-Wire Services, you must complete NatPay's Reverse-Wires Authorization Agreement, and be fully approved / setup before Reverse-Wire Services may be used.

Step 1

Start by completing NatPay's Authorization Agreement. (See the Important Software section on the right for details.) This agreement may be used for both of the agreements required between the PPP Client and their bank, and the PPP Client and NatPay.

Step 2

Once the Authorization Agreement(s) have been completed, submit the Agreement to NatPay. NatPay will then submit the PPP Client information to their bank which handles the Reverse Wires to begin the approval / setup process.

Step 3

Once NatPay's bank has approved and setup the PPP Client, NatPay will be notified, and Reverse Wires may then be initiated.


Step 1

NatPay submits a Reverse-Wire request to our bank.

Step 2

NatPay's bank then requests the funds from the PPP Client's bank as indicated in the Reverse-Wire request.

Step 3

Once the Reverse Wire is received by NatPay's bank, NatPay is then notified that the Reverse Wire has been received.

Step 4

The Reverse Wire is then funded in accordance to the payroll file. The credits to the client's employees will then be sent out based on the pay date of the file.


Reverse-Wire Requests from NatPay must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. ET for same-day processing*.

*PLEASE NOTE: Each bank has their own cut-off time for executing wires. A Client's bank must have time to fund/process the wire before both bank's cut-off times to ensure same-day p. Otherwise the Reverse Wire will be processed the next business day.
